Mandolin Making in the Oldtime Tradition

Which way did he go? He was just here. When is he gonna give me legs?
This is going to be a one piece sitka spruce top when I get it flat and ready to work.
This is the first step in making the bookmatched back
Joining a flame maple back
Rough carving a curly maple mandolin back
Rough carving an A style top plate
Leveling the new benchtop
Mandolin tops are hand carved to thickness before tone bars are added.
Setting the neck is fine work.
